Klaus was in the Level 5 observation room, where he could often be found these days. There were few enough of them on this level that it was most often empty, and it was a welcome change from their suite. He was sitting on the floor at the very back of the room, his back to the wall, and he was sketching on a sheet of paper. The same animal, over and over again.
When Amy walked in, he was in the process of balling up the paper as he pushed up to his feet.

"I'm glad I saved you, Amy Pond," he tells her, and yes, he's only just come to that conclusion, and he moves to walk past her and get out. "You might yet turn out alright."
In another tone, it might have been insulting, but this is actually the same sort of teasing he gave to the other Amy.
