It was sort of alarming how quickly she turned white, how any sort of confidence just vanished, her eyes shiny as she spoke quietly, her voice rough where it had been fine a moment before. "H-He-- He changes-" She had to stop, looking away, swallowing as her eyes skimmed the wall to the floor. "When he's angry, he becomes this monster, and- I'm okay now."
