Klaus only gets a few more fragments of the dream, because he's tiring, and he pulls away before she gets back to Alaric, because he can't hold it up for much more longer. He's about to get up and go try to get some palatable blood from the replicator when she gasps, and pushes away, one of her heels catching him in the thigh as she clambers off the bed in a panic.

"Caroline," he says her name, but he stays on the bed, a hand held out towards her peacefully. "It's alright, love. It was a dream." He's not sure what happened in the last few moments of her dream, but clearly he didn't actually manage much, only for a moment, and maybe he should have woken her up after all.
